 Afterschool Activites
Bougainvillea Enrihment Center offers a daily after school environment for our students up through 6th grade. This program begins at dismissal and is available up to 5:30pm. This program is designed to support our parents that work and are unable to pickup their child at dismissal. The BEC is designed to meet the needs of all age ranges and covers a multitude of interests. Naptime is available for younger students. There is a careful mix of structured and unstructured time as well as indoor and outdoor activities. These activities include; art, movement, sports, food preparation, educational board games, story time, individual reading time, free play and visits from interesting guests. There is also time for the older students to do homework. The environment is warm, loving and friendly, designed to be ‘a home away from home’.
A wide variety of After School Programs are offered in two semesters over the course of the schoolyear. Most classes begin at 2:45 or 3:00 and are over by 4:00. Though the course offerings differ slightly from session to session, some examples include: Spanish, Art, Pottery, Ballet, Tap, Tumbling, Martial Arts, Soccer, Choir, Music Lessons (Guitar, Violin), Homework Club, MMUN (Model United Nations), and Math Counts. |
