Capital Campaign

2006 has started out to be the best year yet in the 41-year history of our school:

• On February 15, we closed on the purchase of the adjacent 1.5-acre Sonne property and 10-room house, representing a 30% increase in our campus size.

• We have recently adopted the distinguished International Baccalaureate program for our Upper School, which will be implemented starting in the 2006-2007 school year.

With the immediate need for an Upper School building met, we are focusing on the following needed capital investments:

• Scholarships and tuition financial aid for deserving students at all levels
• Student program development
• Professional enrichment
• Campus enhancements, including updating computer and library capabilities, and specialty laboratory spaces
• Infrastructure and grounds improvements
• Creation of an endowment fund to ensure our long term financial strength

A Master Plan Executive Committee has been formed to evaluate our current campus infrastructure, and how to utilize it to its maximum potential (which includes a permanent Upper School facility), as well as re-evaluating and restructuring of our current school facilities. Recommendations from this committee for our future facility needs are expected in several months.
